I have a Cozy one-sided gas wall heater. It is no longer lighting the burners when the wall thermostat reaches the temperature set point. The thermostat will "click" on, but the burners won't ignite in the heater. This has been an intermittent problem, but is growing steadily more frequent by the day. Sometimes when the burners won't ignite, I'll bang on the heater and then they ignite. But even that "temporary fix" is becoming less effective. What part on the wall heater needs to be replaced or

Totaline Thermostat. P474 1035 Batteries died while I was out of town. I thought a simple replacement would have it up and running! Screen comes on and reads the room temp just fine but will no longer turn on the a/c in any mode (manual or auto). I looked at the manual and it gives a wonderful warning "The manufacturer cannot be liable for improper operation of the thermostat if the batteries are not immediately replaced." Help!!! Is there any way to fix it? This is a time I wish I wasn't

Not good news...the manufacturer is issuing this disclaimer because of a reason. I would contact the manufacturer and explain the situation to them, since you couldn't replace the batteries as you were out of town. \015\012Here's a web blog ... Air Conditioners

There is a switch on my 1 1/2 ton Ruud furnace/Air handler that is not working properly. The unit would not turn on, even though the thermostat was working. I took the panel off of the air handler and found that a switch had been duct taped into the on position on the unit. Apparently, the tape had shifted and the switch was no longer in proper position. when i moved the switch, two green indicator lights lit up. When i turned the unit back on, the A/C worked. My Drayton Digistat RF3 boiler control is not working. The thermostat module indicates it is sending a signal, but the unit beside the boiler has a red alarm LED lit. I've removed the batteries and turned it off, re-programed it all and still no success. I have to use the manual override button to get the heating on or off. Is the unit broken? I have an XQ08 model - thru the wall When turned on it provide cooling for approx 10 minutes (sometimes longer) and then it stops blowing cool air. My repair man came and adjusted the sensors which he said might solve the problem. It did not. the thermostat is set to 69, I have it set on 'cool', not money saver. When it stops cooling, and I turn it down to 60, it makes no difference and no sound indicating the compressor clicks on. Any suggestions would be helpful. thank you Ms Hill

I have a Rheem Gas Furnace with an old analog thermostat (Wires conneected to terminals R and 4 for the thermostat). I went to install a Rheem digital and programmable thermostat and it indicated that it would not work for that wire configuration (Instructions indicated that the thermostat would not work with wires to the #4 thermostat terminal). I have a Honeywell T8131C programmable thermostat. Our power went out yesterday, and now the "Bat Lo" won't go away. We replaced the batteries, but the "Bat Lo" indicator stayed on even after changing to new batteries. As per the troubleshooting guide, we took them out, waited an hour, and then reinstalled new batteries. Still, the "Bat Lo" indicator is still on. How do I get it to go away because I can't adjust the thermostat with it that way?

I purchased a honeywell t6360 thermostat to replace old one as the dial would not turn properly as it was cracked. I replaced the dial with the new dial from the new box. However, i had no point of reference as to where '0' or '30' was so i guessed by where the internal wheel stopped and started. the heating in my house is now eratic and not in sinc with the dial. Is the temperature controlled from in the unit itself, should i just put on the new box and where does the dial get positioned? pleas

We recently had Marley Double line break interrupter Thermostats installed as we could not turn our old thermostats "off". The lowest setting was 5'F. The heaters are in our cottage and when we set the thermostat at the lowest setting, it was still too warm and our heating bills were very high. With the Marley thermostats the temperature is controlled by "comfort zones" instead of individual degrees on temperature control dial. I am not sure how to control the temperature. I just had a Goodman 4 ton 16 seer system instaled in my home. The thermostat that was instaled is new, but is the old dial type (not programable). I guess my question is would it be possible to rig the new system to work with a regular old thermostat???
