LENNOX HS26-048-3P Installing Honeywell wifi thermostat. C terminal on control board was connected to X on the old thermostat. The X terminal wire on the old thermostat is connected to the C terminal on the control board. I used this wire to connect to the thermostat C terminal and now the compressor fails to come on. I've replaced my very old (mercury) Honeywell thermostat with a new one (round, Model: YCT87K1011), but I can't get it to control the temperature. If I connect the two wires one way, the furnace comes on but won't shut off. If I reverse the wires, the furnace doesn't come on at all. My Contactor went out on my UPKA-031JAZ I went and was told a Honeywell DP1030A5013 contactor would replace the one that went bad.
