Having problems with your Air Conditioners ?
Water in housing
This is the normal operation of most window units. It this is the case on your particular unit you will notice a slinger ring on the outside of the fan blades which slings water created from the evaporator and drained into the condensing area. The water is slung into the condenser making the unit cool more efficiently. The water drain hole will remove excess water. The earilier explaination may be needed if the water is dripping inside the cooled space. Tilting the unit back slightly may also be needed. Hope this helps.\015\012kstfas
You will need to clean the evap coil with a bleach type product and then hose out the condenser coil as well. The bleack will also remove algie from the evap water pan.\015\012\015\012THX\015\012RepairUSA

I have a customer who would like a Bosch AE-9.5 tankless water heater installed in the master bathroom. The master bath is located at the far end of the house & they are wasting a great deal of water waiting for hot water to the bathroom. Can the AE-9.5 be installed at the end of the existing hot water line from the whole house water heater so that it will bring the water collected in the pipe up to temp immediately.
In theory it sounds good, but I don't think it would function properly. Most folks install a low boy 20 or 25 gallon water heater near the master bath and use the home's cold water feed as the supply line. That way, the water for the master bath alon ... Air Conditioners
My mastercool 5500 swamp cooler has water pouring inside the house and dripping down the front vent. Lots of water not just a little moisture. It appears to be shooting straight inside from the top where the hose splits to send water to the two pads. The pads are getting wet but the majority of the water is just free flowing into the house.

My sister was stumped because her window unit a/c keeps leaking water inside her house. She even had her husband drill a small hole in the housing of the a/c, so that it would drain excess water more efficiently, but it still drains inside the house, they also tried to tilt the unit more, but no luck.Do you have any suggestions?
If you remove the lower casing of the unit, you will find that it was design in such a way the water followed a certain track. Your problem should be fixed if you align that track with the opening to coils so water should drain in the proper track. ... Air Conditioners
I have a heat pump with the unit under the house. We have noticed our power bill has increased. After crawling under the house I notice the drip pan is full and not draining through the pipe. So I unclogged it and it drained fine, but my next issue is, why would the return duct have about 3 gallons of water sitting inside the pipe making it sag. So what can I and need to do to fix this. I have been covering the ducts to cover the leak that I found but this water in the pipe has me baffled. Pleas

I have a Carrier furnace and noticed water on the floor. I saw it was coming from the filter housing. I pulled out the filter which was wet only on the bottom And noticed the pan/track it sits in had water in it. There is no water dripping from above it or in the duct leading to the blower or the cold air return. It's like the water appears from nowhere... I changed the filter and the same thing happened. Where is the water coming from?
Hello, there might be a crack in the condesate pan. Usually if the leak is concentrated in one area that is the cause. If the water would be leaking all around then a blockage in the drain line would be a problem. Have the drain pan inspected. ... Air Conditioners

Today when i came back from work i noticed water gushing out of my Vulcan 260 external water heater located at the back of the house from a valve at the bottom right side. I closed the mains and attached a stopper to the valve which stopped the water from flowing. please let me know what had happened and should i call a plumber or is it okay to plug the valve with a stopper.
That pipe is there for two reasons, one is to let you know that you have an issue and that you need to get someone out there to fix it, the other is to release built up pressure in the tank itself, best bet is to go ahead and have a plumber come out ... Air Conditioners
SF-613 cooler. Hi, I am just not sure if pump is engaging when in cool mode. Afraid that someone in my house could've put COOL mode without water. How can I tell pump is working? If I open the door, the water seems calm. Should I see inertial whirling of water when open? Should sound be different when pump /COOL is on? Thanks
You should hear a slight whirling noise when pump is on. If somebody turned the unit on without water for an extended amount of time you probably burned the pump up. Take the front off of the unit and try to locate pump on the bottom make sure the wa ... Sunpentown SF-613 Portable Air Conditioner
My base-board hot water heat system has 3 Taco zone valves in it. One of the valves seems to be not shutting off completly when the thermostat shuts it off, and allows the zone to heat when the furnace is calling for it to heat the hot water tank (for house hot water) My question is the problem most likely in the power head of the zone valve or will I need to change the whole valve?----Thanke you--------------- Lacy Smith

I have an AC/Furnace downstairs in my basement. The blower is in a pan that is holding water. There is a 3/4 inch pvc pipe coming out of the unit and going into the pump. The pump seems to be pumping water outside of the house, though the water looks very brown in the clear tube. I took the pump apart and cleaned it. I was about to cut the pvc pipe and try to **** it clean with a shop vac when I decided that I really don't know what I'm doing. Is this a problem that is easily fixed?

Just purchased a 15000 btu 110 Frigidaire window unit and we love it. However, since the rear of the AC is actually on the back porch, the water from the AC runs down the wall and on to the floor. We could not find in the manual anything about a place to attach a drain tube nor did we see evidence of one on the unit itself. Our house is wooden and susceptible to termites. I have Amtrol water heater. Recently I noticed that boiler trying to start several times till it finally starts. Looks like it is a water heater problem. My qustion is: what should I change most likely - temp. sensor or temp.control? Thank you. Vlad
That's a good question. What a shop would do, is try one, then, if that didn't work, try the other, in this case- if they had the parts. It's hard to test the sensor correctly, and the temp. control might be intermittent, which means it would sh ... Air Conditioners
