I have a split system sanyo heat pump model # kmh0922. The evap. fan will not come on when called for in fan mode. When i put it to heat the indoor fan will also not come on. The compressor runs but the reversing valve seems to stay in the cooling mode. When it is put into cooling the indoor fan goes off after 15 seconds and will not come back on. (The condenser fan and compressor seem to act normal in cooling.) Any ideas as to what the problem could be? Thank you, Mike

I have a Coleman Presidential 7670 furnace in a mobile home. customer said it came on a couple of times by itself. I ran new wire, fan won,t shut off. Replaced fan switch, fan still won't shut off. Replaced t-stat, same problem. This is an older unit and has no board it has a fan switch a low limit switch, i,m guessing the other is a high limit and a fan relay. I have no schematic and am very frustrated can anyone help me please. Thanks. Brian from california

Brian, it sounds as if possibly the fan relay is stuck however, if the fan will not shut off I would suggest the following, Follow the wires from the fan to the relay on the relay disconnect the fan wire there and see if the fan shuts down if so t ... Air Conditioners

The outside unit is no0t able to start the fan spinning on its own. I have been able to manually engage the outside fan by turning the unit off, turning it on, and then manually spinning the fan when it starts up. The unit will then engage the fan and runs fine until the next cycle when it cannot start the fan on its own again. Can you tell me what part needs to be replaced and about how much it will cost?

The light fixture needed to be repaired. It never worked when I bought the house. New light bulbs didn't worked. I replaced the two ceramic light switches that had corroded wiring and reconnected blue to black and white to white. I have a dual wall switch that controls the fan and light. Now the light only works when the fan is on. The light on my other identical fan works without the fan on. Is the wiring problem in the fan or switch. The switches are different.

If its a duel switch that controls lights, and the fan seperately. sounds like the power for the lights is going directly to the fan, and therefore making the lights work also. also check out switch, make sure power is only going to the lights, with ... Air Conditioners

I have a Honeywell oscillating quiet cooling tower fan that was bought two years ago. Loved it, till yesterday it just stopped working. the oscillating feature still moves, but the fan does nothing. the buttons still beep and turn on and change while plugged in, and it sounds like something is working...but obviously not everything cause the fan doesn't fan. Is it fixable? Should I send it to the manufacturer? Or just eat the cost and buy a new fan?

Could be fixable but until someone determines the problem there is no way of knowing if it is fixable. Could be a broken wire between the selector switch and the motor or the motor itself could be bad. When you are trying to operate it does the ... Air Conditioners

Intertherm model P853A5 older style AC unit fan will not start to rotate when thermostat control set to cool.I have a feeling that it might be the electric motor. I removed the screen and rotated the fan manually looking for a bearing problem but found the fan rotated smoothly without any problems. When I set the unit to cool I obsereved the fan motor trying to turn and then it stopped aplost like it could not handle the load of the fan.

I had a Panasonic bath fan installed the week before Thanksgiving. It was represented that this fan was virtually silent. It is however, noisier than the 22-year old fan it replaced. My contractor tells me that the problem is that the vent exiting the fan is vented by a 3" (too small) flexible hose that travels into the ceiling and ties into a larger duct that isn't reachable. Panasonic fans are at their best when they have a 4" vent hose that travels with a minimum of bends for a total lengt

A mate has a fujitsu ast24rba-w, the outdoor unit runs but the indoor fan won't go. Found indoor board buggered so I replaced it, fan still no go. Got hold of a fan that I know works and still won't run!! Checked the start capacitor and that meters ok. It won't even run on fan only. From what I can see the fan should run, there is nothing left to replace. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!

I purchased a Hunter fan model "Regalia". This fan does not come with a remote. I purchased a Hunter remote control and installed both the fan and remote. My problem is that the light and also fan turn on and off by itself. I was told that the remote could have a problem, so I replaced the remote with another Hunter remote model and the problem is now worse. Should I replace the fan? or what do you suggest I do.

No Fan Somebody junked this thing, I guess because the fan doesn't work. Does anybody have any experience with the fan? I figure it has to be the relay (but I hear a click), the capacitor, or the fan motor (fan rotates freely). Before I perform surgery, I'd like to clarify the diagnosis. Thanks.

I have two Harbor Breeze Triton (Item #233576) ceiling fans purchased approximately 3 years ago. Neither have pulls, so the only way I can change the fan speed or dim the light is with the remote (the light can be shut on or off with a light switch, and I can also turn the fan off completely, if I want). A few weeks ago, one of the remotes stopped working...replaced the battery, etc., and nothing worked. I took the remote from the lesser used fan, changed the dips, and use it for that fan

I have a ceiling fan with lights, last night the fan was turned on for the first time since summer, the remote is over the light switch. The remote to turn on the lights is used normally. Since turning the fan on last night there is now a humming noise even without the lights or fan on. Is this a problem with the fan or remote. pleas help the noise is low but consistent.

Indoor fan motor continue to run even if the thermostat is in auto position with the cool and heat switch in the off position. The furnance don't have a fan on and off switch in the furnance like most. The only way to turn the fan motor off is to turn off thr high power switch. I have an intertherm electric furnace FEH-A020, with multispeed blower installed when A/C added. My problem is blower operation. at the end of the cooling season with fan set to auto operation the fan ran continuously.
