Having problems with your Air Conditioners ?

Air conditioner I have a Honeywell air conditioner unit. For the last several days it has failed to cool down to the temp I set except at night. When I came in this evening it was 87 degrees in the house. I went to the main unit in the garage and flipped the fuse buttons to off and then back on. Then I dd the same at the main fuse box for the house. (Dont ask me why I thought this would help). Now I can't get the unit to turn on at all. Any ideas?

Answers :

Yes, first turn your thermostat to the off position. Try to reset both fuse boxes again. If the ac comes back on problem solved, if not fuses and or breakers may need to be replaced.\015\012\015\012Let me know if this helps and we can go futher into why the ac is not only reaching the temp at night.\015\012\015\012Thanks

Air Conditioner was working fine last summer but outside fna not working. Not hearing any sound at all. I can move the fan amanually and it seems fine. There is an electrical box next to the main electrical box on the back of the house with 2 fuses in it but I can't tell if they're bad. I thecked the thermostat and it apears to be fine. The air conditioner furnce kicks on and blows air out of the registers. It's just the main unit outside that's not working.

Hi All, I have a carrier reverse cycle airconditioning unit and about a week ago the digital thermostat blanked out. I spoke to an aircon repair tech and he suggested that the fuse is blown at the air handler and suggested that I can probably replace the fuse myself. My question is where is this fuse located in the carrier units, do I have to open panels or is it in a box like a fuse box in a car. I have no issues checking the fuse if I know where to find it LOL, The model of the unit is

Friedrich air conditioner stopped running. I was trying to find what the air conditioner was causing to vibrate near the unit. I moved the power cord while the air conditioner was running, pushed the wall plug to make sure that it was tight. THe air conditioner stopped running. I am a woman with no mechanical knowledge. My instinct tells me that I might have blown a fuse or short circuited something within the air conditioner.

Air conditioner The air conditioner & fan stopped working. The fuse at the circuit breaker panel is good. Is there a fuse or reset on the unit itself ?

There is a fuse inside the control panel of the AC itself. You have to take the cover off (from inside on the ceiling) and look up in there with a flashlight to find it. It is usually a very small amperage fuse - I think a 1 or maybe a 5 amp. ... Dometic Rooftop RV Air Conditioner
