The thing is I don't Know if I'm seeting up correctly or not or the AC is broken

Do you have the system on A/C and it's calling for it to come on? If so, go to your breaker box and see if the unit is getting power. Also, you will need to check if the unit is being told to come on by the tstat. If you don't know how to check voltages then leave it to a professional but you first check should at least be the breaker. There is also another devise on the wall outside near the unit called a disconnect and it might have a breaker in it as well. Not all disconnects are the breaker type and not all units have them. Hope this helps.

My unit is 4 years old. I always turn it off when I leave for work in the am and turn it back on when I get home in the pm. Last night I turned it on at 7:30pm. When I went to the front of the house about 45 minutes later, I noticed the unit outside was trying to turn on but would immediately turn off. I checked the breakers in the garage, turned them off and back on but still had the same problem. The fan inside the house is running but unit outside will not kick on. I looked for a magic

B & D company air conditioner(model# 566DJ024-C) makes buzzing noise. I just bought a house and when I turned on the air...the unit outside makes a buzzing noise. The fans seems to work and cooler air is coming out of the vents(only ran it for a few min, didn't want further damage). I had the home inspected and the inspector said that the inside breaker is 30amps and the actual max for this particular unit is 25 amps. I don't know if that is the problem or something else...just thought I'd mentio

We have recently purchased an older home, built in 1931. There is a whole house fan in the attic that we would like to get working again. We do not know when the fan was installed or who made it - however, it is a very large whole house fan - 42" blades with 46" frame. Our home is only 1200 sq ft and from what we have found on the internet - a 42" fan is made for 3000 sq ft homes. The motor was made by Leeland Motors - 1/2 HP - 1725 RPM. However, we cannot find anything about this company or how

Hello, We bought a Perry Home in Georgetown TX last March and it is still under its two year warranty. Our air conditioner stopped cooling today. It has been working well for over 1 year. I have an XB10 Trane AC unit that was installed when my house was built in 2003. After running it for a while, the compressor either seems to shut down and I notice no cold air as though its just the fan. Sometimes when I start it back up my thermostat says ''wait''. Or it just blows the fan, even though its set for cold. I've had the capacitor replaced, a start up capacitor bridged to it. I've changed the filter and had the coils cleaned with a brush and garden house from the inside. I'v
