Extendable hose in water tank

\015 I have bought a ct300 (second hand) air conditioner. The water bottle has a hose inside with a hook on the end. Is this hook supposed to attatch to something or how is it supposed to work?\015\012Thanks\015\012Keith\015

I went online and did some research. I couldn't find your model number but I looked at some others because they are all pretty much the same. I couldn't even find a replacement part for it. But I think it could be something that catches so the hose can not be pulled out of the tank. You can contact DeLonghi by email if you go to their website. www.delonghi.co.uk You may get more information from them plus they will be able to get you a manual for it as well. Good luck to you!

I just bought a Danby portable air conditioner (model # dpac5070). The manual tells you how to use the direct drain hose if you want to "vent" the water outside. If I don't want to direct the water outside, do I need to use this hose? The product has a safety shut off feature so the water tank won't overfill. It's almost overfilled twice. I have the hose in the oblong hole on the top flap of the water tank. Am I doing this wrong? Please help!:)

You use the hose only for continuous draining outside of the unit into a bucket or what have you. You don't need to attach the hose at all. I actually need the hose if you want to part with yours. coatings(at)shaw.ca ... Danby Air Conditioners

I have a portable air conditioner and the water condensation tank fills in about 4 hours of constant use. Is there any kind of portable water tank that I could attach to my unit that would allow me to empty the tank after overnight use rather than every 4 hours? I am hesitant to drill a hole for the plastic hose to drain outside. Thanks for your help.([email protected])

I would suggest putting a condensate pump in the reservoir, find the tube that empties the water into the reservoir and direct that into the pump. You can run tubing from the pump to a sink or any other drain in the house that is convenient. Puttin ... GE APN10AA Portable Air Conditioner

My Danby Premiere DPAC 13009 is leaking water through the bottom. I have attached the continuous drainage hose, and no water is going through it. I tried to manually drain the tank using the drain at the bottom, but no water is going through that either. All the water is leaking out the bottom, and I have not even used the dehumidifier mode yet.

The continuous drain hose goes up and out a window however, it does not seem to drain. Is it because there is not enough pressure to push the water? Does the internal tank need to fill up before the continuous drain option begins?

Danby dpac120068 Air Condtioner, where does the hose go? and do you fill the tank in the back with water?

The hose goes into the empty tank or tray inside (if it's the drain hose like a garden hose). When the hot side of the system goes past there it evaporates the condensation dripping into it. If your talking about the big 4 inch hose, that goes out a ... Danby Portable Air Conditioner

Hi, I have hot water coming through the cold water taps in the house, there is a check valve on the cold water return side of the water heater. could this be the problem? The cold water line feeding the hot water tank is also hot, could there be a problem with the tank as well. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks

My Megaflow Immersion Heater D70 suddenly stopped heating the water. I only use it for hot water, not heating. The fuse was fine but I switched on and off just in case with no result. It is getting on a bit at 6 years but wonder if there is anything I can do before I call in the plumbers. Also, if it is worthwhile getting parts for this tank or replace it.Live in hard water area so maybe element is gone. Can water softener be attached to the inflow of the tank to descale softening the water now

For this problem , if you have a multimeter and a modicum of knowledge you can (carefully!) check for voltage at the element yourself. multimeter may show the timer was at fault so tat u can replace it and make it run!!\015\012 ... Air Conditioners

Afternoon, I have a major problem with my Dimplex DAC15HC portable air-conditioner. It either requires constant top-ups to its external water tank, or the main evaporative water tank leaks constantly, irrespective of both tanks being emptied on a daily basis. At this rate, I'll be re-carpeting the room the unit is in!! Any help would be gratefully received. Cheers, Simon

Hi SAJJF2,\015\012\015\012Its not leaking. As the fan blows air across the cold coils the water in the air condenses on to the coil. When enough water condenses it forms drops which drip out of the AC unit. In humid parts of the world AC ... Air Conditioners

Hello Geno, This is The Human Touch again. I want first of all the thank you for your recommendation of purchasing a hot water tank. We will do so when our tankless goes to Heaven! We live in sunny, most of the time, Mazatlan, MX. It poses its own set of water problems due to very high calcium and lime deposits, let alone the salt air and extreme heat and humidity in the summer months. That being said, which brand of hot water tanks would you recommend for those environmental conditions? O

Installed an artcool in my appartment and it constanly leaves a little puddle of water on the floor, irregardless of the temp setting or the fan speed. Drain hose is connected to the plumbing drain. Water builds up around the two insulated hoses at the bottom of the indoor unit. someone told me the unit to strong for my appartment, another said not enough refrigerant coolant.
