Water droplets on the fan coil unit in the morning after one night of operation

Answers :

If the humidity is just right in your house in relation to the temp of the unit and the temp in the room, condensation will form. Should not be of any concern. But if you continues, clean the unit real well and try again. Your supposed to have condensation on the coil it's self though.

Our frigidaire window a/c unit (model faa067p7a) does not seem to be operating properly. There is no condensate forming anywhere (beneath the coils is dry and no evidence of water and there is no water coming out of the tube under the coils into the styrafoam drip area). Everytime we run the unit it cools the room to a degree but the humidity also goes way up. I tried the reset button on the power supply but that didn't seem to have any effect. Any ideas?

It sounds like your unit is low on freon or the compressor is not kicking in. If the compressor kicks in you can hear it turn the unit on fan only or turn the thermostat off then turn the unit to demand cool you should hear a hum even vibration when ... Frigidaire Compact Air Conditioner

I have a Pyrox Vulcan wall heater that frequently stops - displaying "F1 1 ERR". Many technicians have looked at the unit, the most recent has changed a capacitor (which one I don't know but I assume it was related to the fan motor), the first tech just said is was human error and that I don't know how to operate the unit. I am considering replacing the 3 yr old unit with another brand, as the support for this one is virtually non existant.

Mitsubishi MUZ-A42ANA heat pump and MSZ-A42ANA indoor fan unit worked like a charm for over a year. Still does. But the condensed water removal operation (A wall mounted 2”x2” mini pump, Sauermann SI3100UN-23, 230v 50/60 Hz 18w, Made in France, removes water through plastic tubing from the indoor unit to the roof mounted heat pump 8 feet above) is making a vibrating noise each time it is activated, about every 30 seconds or so. Water is being sucked out, bubbles inside tubing and all, but the

Great site. I have a Simplicity SPAC 8499-5 Portable Air Conditioner and it was working fine up until yesterday (~2 years old). The unit is running and the fan operational but while the green light for Cool/Dry is illuminated that actually cooling unit for the air conditioner is not kicking in. The system is just blowing air (like in Fan) mode. I have checked the water reservoir and it is empty and placed properly in the unit so the switch is engaged but no AC.

I have 2 kickboard heaters in the baseboards under the cupboards in the kitchen (Smith SS7's). They are run off the hot water central heating circuit. The fan in each unit is supposed to click on to blow hot air from the heat exchanger when the temperature falls. Both units have stopped working - when one stopped the other worked intermittently for a few weeks but now this does not come on either. I have bled both units and if I keep doing this then eventually hot water reaches both but the flo

I have a GE Zoneline 5500 PTAC that doesn't throw any heat. The electronic display appears normal during operation, I hear a clicking when the unit is turned on and the fan kicks on but it just blows cold air. 2 Years ago i had a rheem unit installed. In the attic is a handler that blows right. On the left is the coils and on the right is the fan. The pan under the unit collects alot of water and the float then shuts down the compressor. The drain pipe is clear however the insulation under the fan is soak. Can you say Why?.

I purchased a Coleman model 564 cooler about june 1,2008 at Wal-mart. I used it for two trips to Canada,June and August, one week each. The fan operates spasmodically and the unit does not cool. AC Out. Two year old house. Goodman A/C, two units one for upstairs. Cleaned coils of both outside unit, replaced filters, re-set breakers. Upstairs is cooling. Downstairs unit is running outside, not circulating air inside (inside temp 87). Vents inside are cool to touch, no air. Outside unit fan is pulling, but air exhaust is cool. Compressor ? Should air be circulating even if compressor not functioning. Is there anything in attic exchange that would affect downstairs circulation. Thanks.

Last night my husband turned off our window unit because it had gotten cold in the house, we got up this morning and went to turn the unit on and it won't come on at all. I have a Bryant split unit. After incurring some water damage that I assumed was from the overflow pan (the damage came from a poorly insulated elbow in the duct that was sweating) I opened the unit and found the condesate pan dry but the interior was completly saturated. I watched as condesate dripped off the coil and the supply fan would pull the drop and miss the pan entirely. Now I have mold/mildew forming in the unit and the insullation inside the unit is wet. I turned off the ac and left t

I have a whirlpool model ACM102xLO that seems to be dying. I cleaned the coils, and the unit seems to operate normally for a few minutes. Fan motor works, compressor motor seems to work. When I checked the amp pull on the fan motor, it falls in the normal range of 1.2A. When the compressor kicks on, the amp pull jumps to around 10 and climbs to a high of 15 or so, then the compressor shuts off and the amps jump to about 25 or 26, before cutting off completely. I have a goldstar air conditioner model R0801E that starts spraying water from the fan outlet after it has run for approximately 1 hour. I have checked the drain and it is not plugged, nor is there any obstruction to it, I have in fact drilled a hole into the 'formed' drain channel on the bottom which leads to the drain nipple located on one back corner. i have tried tilting the unit in order that gravity might assist and it still blows water enough that i can't use it or it will ruin the wall,
