ON excessively hot days, the outside heat pupmp trips the circuit breaker. Most times it is only once, I turn the breaker to "on" and it works fine. Some days it pops two or three times. When the outside air gets cooler, it works fine. When the unit is operating, it appears to be operating normally (meaning cold air). I have not experience this during cold days.

Hello I would add a HARD START KIT to the run capasitor (if there is not one already). This makes the compressor come on easy.If the breaker trips during running time the pressures are too high, hose off the condenser coil (fins). The unit might be slig ... Carrier 38CKC036 Air Conditioner

I have a Duo-Therm, mod# 600315.321 on a motorhome. Fan motor overheats, but only after the compressor kicks on. New motor, swapped out caps w/identical working unit. Ground is good. Unit will run all day OK w/just fan, but when put on "cool", it will run and produce cold air for 15 min, the fan then quits. Compressor will run for 5 - 10 minutes more by itself, then the circuit breaker kicks.

My coleman Mach Rv air conditioner with built in heat strip keeps tripping it's internal circuit breaker when running for any length of time. Just replaced heat strip with new one experienced same issue. I ended up with the fan continuing to run but only cold air comes out of the vents! When I removed the old unit and reset the circuit breaker it too worked again. Have no idea what is causing this to happen. The airconditing part of unit works just fine??? HELP! Ron

There should be an overload protection device in series with the low voltage wiring(t-stat wiring) Is it resting on the heat strip or too close to it? It is a saftey device to shut off the heat strips if the fan quits or a fire in the heat strip sec ... Coleman Mach III Air Conditioner

Dometik Duo Therm Brisk Air rooftop trips AC circuit breaker when the weather turned hot. When circuit breaker is reset, the unit will run for 5-10 minutes, cooling nicely, and then trip the AC circuit breaker again. I changed the settings, but it did the same. Once the outside temperature went down, that evening, I tried it again. The AC worked fine all night and the next morning, and when it got hot outside next morning same thing, trip the breaker

OUr air conditioning system works well until the circuit breaker trips. We added another large return vent in the hall to try to get more air circulating and that didn't work. We just replaced the outdoor airconditioning unit and the circuit trips again. The electrician says the wattage is fine. Any ideas what could be the problem. Everyone is baffled because the house is only 5 years old.

I have a window air conditioner. When it runs for several hours it will trip the breaker. I have had the unit for 5 years. I bought it used and even though it has always shaken when the air compressor comes on it has cooled fine. Recently, however, my landlord changed the circuit breaker (had an electrician come out to do this and supposedly everything is working find). However when I pluuged the unit back into the plug for this circuit, the unit would not even operate for 10 mintues withou

It's probably fine even though it jiggles and makes noise. I would ask the landlord to change the circuit breaker again and ask the electrician what the amps were for the breaker he took out and the one he put in. \015\012\015\012Hopefull ... Whirlpool Air Conditioners

I am thinking of buying a low btu portable air unit. A lot of them call for a single circuit. What does that mean? Most of my circuit breakers are labeled for a whole room. Would I have to re-wire? I have a 5000 btu window air-c & it works ok.

Hi,\012This means that they only want one outlet on that circuit, the one for the A/C....but if you are only running the A/C on a circuit and nothing on the other outlets you will be okay...they just do not want you to overload the circuit and ... Midea Air Conditioners

System works fine for about five minutes - blows well refrigerated air air, fan works great. Then the circuit breaker shuts it down every time. Could this five year old unit need recharging? On fan only, it operates well.

It sounds like it does need recharging, yes. 5 years is about average for such a system, if it is used fairly regularly during warm seasons... It could be the condenser portion has a circuitry issue as well, something causing a fault th ... Coleman Mach 15 Air Conditioner

Hello, I have goodman 3 ton a/c that runs ok for about a half hour or so then the condenser stops running because the circuit breaker pops off. The a/c tech check the units draw ( 13 amps) and thought it was ok. We thought then it was a faulty breaker. We then put a new breaker (30 amp). Later same result. a/c works ok then trips breaker. Wait awhile then reset breaker and it runs again. What would cause the breaker to trip like that. Any ideas? Thanks

First of all, let me caution you to remove the 30 amp breaker and put back the 20 that was there. It's not to code. It's too big for the wire size. Second, you will need to monitor the circuit with a 'clamp on' amp meter to verify the current d ... Goodman CKL36AR36 Air Conditioner

B & D company air conditioner(model# 566DJ024-C) makes buzzing noise. I just bought a house and when I turned on the air...the unit outside makes a buzzing noise. The fans seems to work and cooler air is coming out of the vents(only ran it for a few min, didn't want further damage). I had the home inspected and the inspector said that the inside breaker is 30amps and the actual max for this particular unit is 25 amps. I don't know if that is the problem or something else...just thought I'd mentio

The circuit breakers Ampere rating has nothing to do with the buzzing noise. If you use a lesser Ampere Circuit Breaker it will trip every time the Air Con: starts, and if you use a very high Ampere Circuit Breaker it won't trip and give you the need ... Air Conditioners

Air conditionerwon't turn on. It worked yesterday. Circuit breaker was tripped, I reset it but it still does not work

I have a Dometic Brisk air AC. Was working fine and all of a sudden the unitsounded like it went to half power. It will restart and sounds labored. It did trip the circuit breaker at the power source once. Reset the breaker and it continues to run labored, both on fan only and cool & fan.

Air conditioner The air conditioner & fan stopped working. The fuse at the circuit breaker panel is good. Is there a fuse or reset on the unit itself ?

There is a fuse inside the control panel of the AC itself. You have to take the cover off (from inside on the ceiling) and look up in there with a flashlight to find it. It is usually a very small amperage fuse - I think a 1 or maybe a 5 amp. ... Dometic Rooftop RV Air Conditioner

I just purchased a house that has a Goldstar air conditioner. I turned it on yesterday, and it worked fine. I left the house for an hour. When I came home the air was no longer on.
